Trans- and inter-generational memory, trauma, and healing in the African Diaspora; Yoruba traditional religious practices and ancestral traditions; poetry, poetics, and creative writing; the arts as a vehicle for community healing and transformation from trauma (the Transatlantic Slave Trade, the Middle Passage, lynching, genocide, sexual violence); black feminisms and womanism; birth work; contemplative practices and ritual as pedagogy/andragogy and methodology.
