Dr. Wilson Shitandi works with the Undergraduate Programs Office at O’Neil. Before joining the O'Neill School, Wilson worked as an adjunct faculty member at the Jacobs School of Music. Dr. Shitandi brings over 20 years of work experience in higher education. He is the former Associate Dean and Senior Lecturer in the Department of Music and Dance, at Kabarak University, Kenya where he taught courses in ethnomusicology and African music, including dance, traditional instrumental music and vocal music, and directing postgraduate studies.
Shitandi holds a Bachelor of Education Honors and Master of Arts in Musicology from Kenyatta University and a collaborative doctorate in Ethnomusicology from University of Mainz Germany and Kenyatta University in Kenya. He is currently pursuing a graduate program in academic advising though the IU School of Education.
