About Sarah Monson

Sarah Monson is a Ph.D. candidate in Anthropology, and a Ph.D. Minor in African Studies. Her dissertation project is, "Women's Communicative and Economic Strategies in Ghana's Kumasi Central Market," supported by a Fulbright Hays DDRA. Monson’s project considers how market traders leverage their verbal skills and market savviness to attract and maintain customers, negotiate the value of local and imported goods, and safeguard against economic uncertainty.
