Dr. Jacob Otile is a Medical Doctor from Apac (the Local Boy from Apac), a very small district in Northern Uganda, I am currently pursuing a Masters of Public Health Epidemiology which stared in fall 2023 after I attained Bachelors of Medicine and Bachelors of Surgery from Islamic University in Uganda and a Diploma In Clinical Medicine and Community Health from Fort-Portal College of Health Sciences with six (6) other Certificates in Health Related Courses.
I have been part of various groundbreaking projects such as the clinical trial for BabySaver, a newborn resuscitation device that facilitates helping babies breath with an intact umbilical cord among others.
I am very much interested in Clinical and sports research, policy advocacy and neonatal health and am currently volunteering as a member at the Hoosier Sports Research.
Additionally, I volunteer as the Executive Director of a charity community-based NGO in Uganda (Dr. Abdulla Ahmed Hudhayfa Foundation), a newly formed organization named after my late best friend and our work is to try and bridge the gaps that exist between the health care system and the community in relation to the health and wellbeing of children.
