Uzoamaka Nwachukwu is a PhD candidate at Indiana University. Her research focus is to interrogate how taxation restructured the social, economic and political system of South-East Nigeria. Uzoamaka obtained her Bachelor of Arts and Masters of Art Degree from the Department of History, University Of Ibadan. Her research on taxation will evaluate the transition of slave labor to wage labor, the dynamics of freedom and the practice of (UN) freedom.
