Comfort Adejoke Durojaiye is a seasoned Yoruba language instructor and respected cultural ambassador from Nigeria. She holds a National Certificate of Education (NCE) where she studied French and Yoruba language, received a Bachelor's degree in Yoruba language from the University of Ilorin, and a Master's degree from the University of Ibadan.
Comfort's passion for language education started in 2007, and she has since devoted herself to the enhancement of Yoruba language instruction. She worked with Mobile Telephony Network Nigeria (MTN) for several years, contributing significantly to linguistic and cultural projects.
Since January 23, 2023, Comfort has been with the British Council as a Venue Staff, a position that has allowed her to further share her linguistic expertise and cultural knowledge. Currently, she is serving as a Yoruba language instructor at Indiana University-Bloomington under the Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistant (FLTA) program.
Comfort's commitment to language and culture extends beyond formal instruction. She has volunteered in numerous academic projects, including the documentation of African languages and the development of Yoruba curriculum. Her research interests span across language, culture, society, and gender studies - fields she believes intersect to shape our understanding of identity and human relations.
