From the gridiron to global perspective: How African Studies shaped Todd A.J. Walker

When Todd A.J. Walker arrived at Indiana University in the late 1980s, he came as a highly recruited football player with big expectations—and even bigger momentum. As a Hoosier tight end from 1987 to 1991, Walker played on some of the most successful teams in program history, helping lead IU to multiple bowl appearances and victories over national powerhouses like Ohio State and Michigan.
