About Mathew Ajibade

Mathew Ajibade is a Ph.D. student in the Department of Linguistics and a Yoruba Instructor at the African Studies Program at Indiana University Bloomington. He received his BA in Linguistics at the University of Ibadan, Nigeria, and his MA, also in Linguistics, at Indiana University Bloomington. He was the recipient of the 2017-2018 Yoruba Fulbright FLTA scholarship where he assisted with the teaching of the Yoruba language at IU. Matthew has done a considerable number of projects in Yoruba which include translating Chinua Achebe's Things Fall Apart and several other papers into Yoruba and English. He has presented at many conferences and has participated in different Yoruba standard-setting projects.
