Twalha Abbass is the 2019-2020 Fulbright Language and Teaching Assistant (FLTA) for Swahili language and culture in the African Studies Program. In Tanzania, he teaches Swahili and English Language and Literature in English. He is also a published writer and poet. His current writing project is an autobiography, A Lifetime Adventure. Twalha not only teaches Swahili courses for the ASP, but is actively involved in the K-12 outreach program to schools. He is also a volunteer for the Bridges Early Language Program (Swahili).
