My name is Hardyson Nghakamo, and I am a Teacher holding a Bachelor of Arts with Education majoring in Linguistics and Literature, which I pursued at the University of Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. I am currently working in the African Studies Program as a Swahili Teaching Assistant at Indiana University - Bloomington. I have been at Indiana University since August 2022, enrolled there as one among the nominees of Fulbright Foreign Language Teaching Assistants. Before then, I was working at Legacy Academy, where I was as a Preschool teacher (with ACE Curriculum) and also the Class Manager for the First Grade. I have also had the privilege of working with Iringa International School (Primary level) in Tanzania as a Teaching Assistant in the 4th and 5th grades. I’ve always felt proud and energetic to work with kids. As an educator, I see the importance in professional development and serving others. My passion working with kids grew my enthusiasm to develop techniques and fun ways of teaching children, and to help them capture language skills in a very short time.
